Thoughtful Thursday…5 fun new things I’m discovering...

Welcome to Thoughtful Thursday. This GreenNote Fitness newsletter mindfully gathers and distills useful information that is supportive to our journey. It is my mission to educate, inspire, and propel you into action that moves you towards your goals and life of purpose. Take control of your journey today.

I’ve got five new things I’ve discovered that I want to share with you. If you like this format and would like to see similar newsletters, please respond in the comment section or over on my Facebook page. I really appreciate your feedback. On to the discoveries! Discovery # 1 - Chums Jetsetter Pouch (travel kit)

What I like about this travel kit is that it's TSA-ready. It unfolds in the middle and makes contents known through a clear plastic window. Although I qualify for TSA Pre-Check, sometimes airports don’t always have a Pre-Check lane open in security which means you need to remove liquids from your bag. If not prepared for that situation it could leave one scrambling. The Chums Jetsetter Pouch keeps you organized and prepared.

Discovery #2 - FitVine Wine

I don’t drink wine too often but when I do…I would like it to be, well, better than Two-Buck Chuck. FitVine wine is one such wine. It is grown at a high elevation which helps with the grapes getting a deeper exposure to the sun while still at cooler temperatures. This helps elevate the resveratrol and polyphenols in the grapes. It is said to have fewer calories due to less sugar and lower sulfites. With lower sugar and lower sulfites, the risk of blood sugar swings and headaches go down. Plus, this wine just plain tastes good!

I’ve found that a little bit of sparkling water during my 24 hour fast is a very good way to feel hydrated and refreshed all with the benefits of small amounts of minerals. I’ve been using the brand Gerolsteiner, a German mineral water. It tastes good and comes in glass which is superior to plastic.

Discovery #4 - Training Circuit This is one I’ve been doing and have had some of my clients do as well. The focus is for a VO2 max enhancement. It looks something like this: • Rowing machine - 3 min • Single-arm dumbbell push-press - 5 each side • Barbell reverse lunge - 5 each side • Hanging leg raises - 5x • Repeat for AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) or for sets You can substitute a bike or stair stepper for the rowing machine.

Discovery #5 - Book trilogy

Summer reading is fun. I wanted a captivating book of fiction and found myself purchasing this book without having seen the movie. It is written very intelligently and if you enjoy a good spy thriller then you will like not only this one but the other two in the trilogy. The author is a retired officer of the CIA. So there you have it - 5 new things I’ve discovered. Just another reminder, if you liked this newsletter format and would like to see more of them, please write a comment. I really appreciate it!

Enjoy your journey,
